A massive tsunami hit Thailand's southern coast on 26th December.
It was triggered by an earthquake in Aceh, Indonesia, which measured 8.9 on the richter scale. The quake was the largest in 40 years.
The last time there was a tsunami in Thailand was 300 years ago.
The catastrophe has claimed over 5000 lives in Thailand, many of them foreign tourists.
The death toll across the South Asian region is above 80,000.
